The event is not only an opportunity to honor the two authors' tireless creative efforts but also to arouse the love of literature, history and profound human values in the hearts of readers.
The launch was honored to welcome many writers, poets, literary critics, representatives of press and media agencies and a large number of literature lovers.
Poet Nguyen Quang Thieu, Chairman of the Vietnam Writers Association, shared at the ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony, poet Nguyen Quang Thieu, Chairman of the Vietnam Writers Association, shared his emotions about Thuan Huu's poetry: "Thuan Huu's poetry is like a bell ringing in life, gently touching the emotional levels of joy and sadness and speaking its own voice. Whether he writes about pain or hidden corners, the beauty, love and light of hope always rise above all, resounding forever in the hearts of readers."
Poet Nguyen Quang Thieu emphasized that from simple images such as a lonely pine tree on a mountain top, sea shells telling stories of the vast ocean, to the deep loneliness before a mother's grave, Thuan Huu's poetry has led readers on a journey to discover the hidden beauty and profound messages of life in the most ordinary things.
The poetry collection “Picked up along the road” is not only a sincere confession of a person who has experienced many hardships, the sun and wind of mountains and hills and the waves of the ocean, but also an invitation for readers to listen to the magical sounds of life, to find the good values that seem to have been forgotten in the hustle and bustle of life.
“This is a collection of poems that are simple but contain the power to move people's hearts, where each word is the echo of a sensitive soul that always cherishes life. Thuan Huu, although always humble and does not accept the title of poet, but his natural verses like breath, simple like his own life, have left a deep impression in the hearts of readers" - poet Nguyen Quang Thieu affirmed.
Author Thuan Huu mentioned memories and people who influenced his work.
In the solemn and warm atmosphere of the ceremony, poet Thuan Huu expressed his deep gratitude to the delegates and guests who took the time to attend. He emotionally shared : "This book of poems, to me, is not only a spiritual product but also a part of my flesh and blood, a priceless asset that I cherish every page. This moment, this morning, is truly a sacred milestone in my writing life."
Poet Thuan Huu recalls the emotions and experiences that inspired him to write: " In these pages, I have tried to record in the most honest way the aspirations and emotions I have experienced in my life. Perhaps it is the aspiration to live a meaningful life, to contribute even a small part to my homeland and country."

He also expressed his appreciation for the affection that friends, colleagues and readers have given him over the years: “As time goes by, looking back at what I have written, I appreciate even more the sincere affection that friends, colleagues and literature lovers have given me. Those affections are truly a great source of encouragement, giving me the motivation to continue on this difficult but also extremely meaningful literary path."
The launching ceremony of the works took place in a warm and intimate atmosphere.
Along with the poetry collection "Picked up along the road" by Thuan Huu, the ceremony also introduced to readers the memoir collection "FAR and NEAR - Vivid memories from the white sand area of Binh Duong " by author Phan Duc Nhan. The work is not just a simple book, but also a true voice from the heart of a child born and raised on the white sand area of Binh Duong (Thang Binh district, Quang Nam province) - a land that had to endure much pain and loss during the fierce war years.
With a simple, sincere and emotional writing style, Phan Duc Nhan has brought readers back to a tragic period of history, where ordinary people from poor rural areas wrote legends about their intense desire for peace.
Poet Nguyen Quang Thieu shared, “FAR and NEAR - Vivid memories from the white sand of Binh Duong” - are not just ordinary pages of literature or history, it is something higher than all, written with all the heart and memories of a person who once lived buried in white sand, in bombs, in blood and in eternal dreams of peace.
The work "Picked up along the road" by journalist Thuan Huu was displayed at the ceremony.
According to poet Nguyen Quang Thieu, the work is a haunting reminder of the danger of forgetting the past in today's peaceful years, and at the same time an epic song about the indomitable will and extraordinary courage of the Vietnamese people.
"Each page of the book is like a layer of white sand of Binh Duong, hidden deep within are heroic stories, unforgettable memories. Phan Duc Nhan is not only a historical witness, but also an inseparable part of that land. He has brought to readers touching images of ordinary 'saints' - the outstanding sons of Binh Duong who devoted their lives to protecting peace, leaving the next generation profound lessons about conscience and responsibility towards the nation's history", poet Nguyen Quang Thieu expressed.
The two books are printed on beautiful paper, hardcover with paintings by famous contemporary artists. The essay collection "Far and Near" uses paintings by three artists: Dao Hai Phong, Do Trung Quan and Vu Trong Anh as supplements. The poetry collection "Picked Along the Road" has 30 supplementary paintings drawn by artist Dao Hai Phong based on emotions from suggestive verses throughout 2024 and has just ended recently. The supplementary paintings were also displayed at the book launch ceremony, creating a unique harmony of language, shapes and colors.
The launching ceremony of the works by authors Thuan Huu and Phan Duc Nhan left many deep impressions in the hearts of the attendees. This event once again affirmed the strong vitality and valuable contributions of Vietnamese literature in recording beautiful and meaningful stories about people and times. The two works promise to be meaningful spiritual gifts for readers across the country.
