(kontumtv.vn) – Kon Ray district has just launched a pilot model of classifying domestic solid waste at source in village 8, Dak Ruong commune.

At the launching ceremony, people were informed about some regulations on classifying household waste at source; how to collect waste for Kon Ray District Environment and Service Center to collect and transport according to regulations. Participating in the model, people classified household waste that can be recycled, reused and organic waste right at home. At the launching ceremony, the District Department of Natural Resources and Environment presented 20 trash bins to households in the village.

Through the model, it aims to raise awareness and sense of responsibility of the community in classifying domestic solid waste at source; gradually forming the habit and self-consciousness of classifying domestic solid waste at home; contributing to reducing the volume of domestic solid waste treated by landfill, limiting environmental pollution./.
