Launching the Winter Volunteer Program in 2024 and Spring Volunteer Program in 2025

On the morning of November 28, at Quan Son District Ethnic Boarding Secondary School, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union and the Secretariat of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union organized the launching ceremony of the Winter Volunteer Program 2024 and Spring Volunteer Program 2025.

Leaders of the Provincial Youth Union and Quan Son district presented the project "Lighting up the countryside road" to Tam Thanh commune, and the food safety mural road to Son Lu Primary and Secondary School.

Every November, the Winter and Spring Volunteer Programs are enthusiastically implemented by the Youth Union and Associations at all levels in the province in remote, isolated and border areas of the province. This activity has become a beautiful feature of the youth, demonstrating the spirit of volunteering and dedication to community life.

This year, the program is even more meaningful when the youth of the whole province are competing to welcome the success of the Congresses of the Youth Union at all levels, the 7th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Thanh Hoa province, towards the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union, term 2024-2029.

With the theme "I love my Fatherland", the program will be implemented from November 2024 to the end of February 2025 in the whole province, with priority given to mountainous units, especially disadvantaged communes, border areas, islands, areas affected by natural disasters, and communes that are completing the criteria for new rural construction.

A large number of union members and youth attended the launch ceremony.

The program focuses on accompanying and caring for people and youth through implementing activities: "Sharing with farmers", "For community health", "For beloved juniors"...

Specifically, organizing propaganda, donating clothes, blankets, food, personal belongings, and learning tools to support children in difficult areas; participating in supporting the construction of "Boarding houses for children", "Beautiful schools for children", implementing the "Happy house" program; establishing youth volunteer teams on the spot to respond to natural disasters, storms and floods. Visiting, encouraging, and giving gifts to border guards, military units, police, and forces on duty during the Lunar New Year; giving gifts to children, families with preferential policies, and families in especially difficult circumstances. Organizing training courses, transferring techniques, caring for, and preventing diseases for crops and livestock for farmers. Building youth projects in rural areas. Speaking at the launching ceremony, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union Le Van Chau requested all levels of the Youth Union, associations, union members and youth union members in the whole province to promote their intelligence, aspiration to contribute, and volunteer spirit; step up propaganda work before, during and after the campaign; enhance the spirit among young people, create a spreading effect so that volunteer activities become regular activities, become existing habits among union members, youth and the whole society.

The Provincial Youth Union Secretary and Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union emphasized: Union members and youth union members need to promote their pioneering and volunteering roles in participating in socio -economic development, especially in difficult areas, border areas; areas affected by natural disasters, storms, floods, severe cold; hunger eradication, poverty reduction, contributing to ensuring social security, building new rural areas. The Organizing Committee awarded a plaque to support the construction of a "Happy House" worth 80 million VND to Dinh Cam Ly in Chieng village, Xuan Loc commune, Thuong Xuan district.

At the launching ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded a support plaque of 80 million VND to build a "Happy House" for Dinh Cam Ly in Chieng village, Xuan Loc commune, Thuong Xuan district; awarded a "Lighting up the countryside road" project to Tam Thanh commune, a food safety mural road to Son Lu Primary and Secondary School with a total value of 120 million VND; coordinated with Otofun Thanh Hoa Club to award a support plaque to the Soi - Bin kindergarten, Son Lu town, Quan Son district worth 50 million VND; awarded 2,000 notebooks to primary school students in Quan Son district; and awarded 10 gifts to students of Quan Son Secondary School for Ethnic Minority Boarding. The total value of the entire program was nearly 1.3 billion VND.

Delegates and a large number of union members and youths also participated in meaningful activities in response to the launching ceremony such as: Inauguration and handover of "Beautiful School for Children" at the kindergarten in Yen Binh village, Yen Khuong commune, Lang Chanh district worth 330 million VND; groundbreaking 14 toilet projects for children at disadvantaged schools in Quan Son district sponsored by the For Vietnamese Stature Fund, TH Group and Bac A Bank; examination and free medicine distribution to 300 people in difficult circumstances; opening of a training course on transferring scientific and technical advances to union members and youths in Quan Son district.
