After losing 0-4 to Man City and being eliminated from the Champions League, President Florentino Perez pledged that Carlo Ancelotti would continue to lead Real Madrid next season.
In Perez's plan, Ancelotti was chosen to make the transition between the current veterans to a new team with more youth.
One of the changes Real Madrid are aiming for is the position of Karim Benzema, whose performance has declined after winning the 2022 Ballon d'Or.
According to sources from Spain, Harry Kane is the priority of President Perez and the Real Madrid board of directors.
Real Madrid have been interested in Harry Kane for many years. However, the transfer intention was rejected by former coach Zinedine Zidane in favor of Benzema.
Benzema's loss of form this season has caused Real Madrid to fail from La Liga to the Champions League, when the club has no backup plan.
Perez and Ancelotti both chose Harry Kane because of his dynamic style of football. The England captain is also wide like Benzema, creating space for those next to him.
Harry Kane has just scored 30 goals in the 2022-23 season for Tottenham, with 28 goals in the Premier League. This is the 5th time in his career that he has reached this milestone.
Tottenham will not be able to participate in the Champions League next season, and even the risk of missing out on the two remaining European cups - Europa League and Europa Conference League - is very high.
Harry Kane has just one year left on his contract and the 29-year-old does not want to extend it. Therefore, Mr. Perez believes that 100 million Euros is a suitable transfer fee.
