Rebellions - a new mark of Korean semiconductor technology
Founded in 2020, Rebellions Inc. has quickly risen to become one of the leading AI semiconductor companies in Korea. Unlike companies that focus solely on chips, Rebellions develops comprehensive solutions that combine hardware, software, and server systems, helping to increase AI performance while reducing power consumption and operating costs.
The company works with several server manufacturers to deploy AI infrastructure for telecoms, data centers, and governments in South Korea, Japan, and Saudi Arabia. Rebellions’ goal is to make AI infrastructure more efficient, accessible, and sustainable.

ATOM-Max - an effective GPU alternative
The Vietnam - Korea Digital Forum 2025 is an annual event organized by the Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology in collaboration with the Korea Information Technology Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA). At this event, which brings together dozens of leading technology enterprises of the two countries, Rebellions is expected to introduce ATOM-Max - a line of AI inference accelerator chips with performance per watt 3 times higher than traditional GPUs. The product helps reduce data center operating costs while optimizing deployment capabilities in cloud computing infrastructure, contributing to promoting technology cooperation and AI infrastructure development between Vietnam and Korea.
Rebellions not only provides chips, but also offers a complete system solution, including software and customized services. In 2024, KT Cloud commercialized a cloud platform using ATOM chips, while SK Telecom tested the chips in practical AI applications such as conversation synthesis and medical diagnosis.
In addition to Korea, Rebellions also cooperates with DOCOMO Innovations (Japan) and Aramco (Saudi Arabia), expanding deployment to the ASEAN region.

In 2024, Rebellions merged with Sapeon Korea, officially becoming Korea's first semiconductor AI unicorn. The company currently receives investments from Arm, Samsung Ventures, Wa'ed Ventures (Aramco), KT and SKT, and is collaborating with Marvell and Arm to develop the next generation of REBEL-Quad chips for large language models and multimodal AI.
Vietnam - a strategic gateway to Southeast Asia
According to Sunghyun Park - CEO of Rebellions, Vietnam is a "strategic destination" thanks to its strong support policies for the AI and semiconductor industries, along with its young and dynamic workforce. At this year's Forum, Rebellions hopes to cooperate with government agencies, network operators, cloud businesses and research institutes to deploy the ATOM-Max chip pilot project in Vietnam's data centers.
The company is also interested in smart cities, healthcare and smart manufacturing, and wishes to cooperate in training and researching semiconductor AI with Vietnamese universities, contributing to building a native technology ecosystem.
Vision: Building sovereign and sustainable AI infrastructure
Rebellions positions itself as an “AI infrastructure builder” – a strategic partner that helps countries and businesses deploy independent, energy- and cost-saving AI capabilities, reducing dependence on foreign technology.
According to Rebellions, the future of AI lies not only in computing power but also in the efficiency of deployment and national data security. From that orientation, the company develops products such as ATOM-Max and REBEL-Quad, which provide high performance, low power consumption and help reduce operating costs and carbon emissions for data centers.
In the next 3-5 years, Rebellions aims to become a leading AI solution provider in Southeast Asia, deploying ATOM-Max-based inference clusters in domestic data centers, moving towards the REBEL-Quad rack-scale platform to serve large-scale AI needs, including large language models and multimodal AI.

Mr. Sunghyun Park, CEO of Rebellions Inc.
Rebellions’ development strategy focuses on localizing solutions, technology ecosystem cooperation, and joint research and development with local partners. Through this, the company hopes to accompany Vietnam in the digital transformation process, contributing to building a sovereign, safe and sustainable AI infrastructure, towards an inclusive technological future for the ASEAN region.
