Books and AI

That was the theme of the "Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day" program in 2025, organized by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Student Association on April 18th at Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy.

Delegates and students experienced the art of book arrangement and book display.

Here, delegates, guests, union members, and students discussed topics such as: Are paper books truly necessary in the age of AI development?; Gen Z's thoughts and opinions on books in the age of AI; an introduction to the AI ​​bookshelf; experiencing the space for artistic book arrangement and display; and an introduction to the hand-to-hand bookshelf model of the Youth Union and Student Association of the University...

Also as part of the program, the Provincial Youth Union, the Provincial Student Association, the family of Martyr Vu Xuan, and Tien Phong Newspaper jointly donated books and scholarships to 20 disadvantaged students in the school with a total value of 20 million VND; and donated a digital library project worth 358 million VND.

Previously, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union and the Secretariat of the Provincial Student Association had implemented a plan to organize activities to enhance reading culture among youth union members, with a peak period from April 10th to May 2nd, 2025, with the message: "Reading culture - connecting the community", "Together with books, we enter the era of national progress", "Reading books enriches knowledge, nurtures aspirations, promotes innovation".

Underprivileged students of Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy received books, gifts, and scholarships at the program.

The program contributes to honoring the value of books and reading culture, igniting a passion for reading among the younger generation; and spreading the reading movement. In particular, it encourages union members, association members, and students to apply technology and digital platforms in reading... Thereby enhancing self-learning awareness and lifelong learning, contributing to building and developing the reading movement, and aiming towards building a learning society.
