DTO - In the 2024-2025 school year, the Departmentof Education and Training (DoET) continues to carefully and successfully organize the "Excellent Teachers of Grades 1, 2, 3 and English and Informatics Teachers at Primary and High School Levels" and the Competition. The competition is held for 2 months with many improvements in form, content, and teaching quality, creating good conditions for teachers to demonstrate their professional capacity, update new programs, and apply digital transformation.
Representatives of Dong Thap University awarded Certificates to teachers who won the title of "Excellent Teacher" at the 11th Provincial High School Awards for the 2024-2025 school year.
The contest "Excellent teachers of grades 1, 2, 3 and teachers of English and Information Technology at primary school level" was enthusiastically responded to by teachers of primary schools throughout the province. Teachers participating in the provincial contest were interested in, trained and selected by the Department of Education and Training of districts and cities based on the results of the contest for excellent teachers at school and district levels. The active response and participation in the activities created a movement associated with enthusiastic expertise in improving the quality of primary education in the 2024 - 2025 school year. During the organization of the contest, management staff, grassroots trade unions, and youth unions in the school always encouraged, motivated, and created all good conditions for participating teachers to achieve high results. The Department of Education and Training of districts and cities paid great attention and established a consulting team to provide professional support to schools with teachers participating in the contest. After the rounds of the school and district level contests, 207 teachers registered to participate in the provincial contest. In particular, the 3 youngest teachers (25 years old) from the following units: Cao Lanh City, Tam Nong District, Chau Thanh District and the oldest teacher (52 years old) from Thap Muoi District participated in the contest. Coming to the contest, all teachers were very active, enthusiastic, applied information technology well in reporting (images, sounds, videos ) to clarify issues, and were confident when presenting the contest sections according to the requirements of the Organizing Committee of the contest.
Carrying out the assignment of the Organizing Committee of the contest, the participants promoted their sense of responsibility and organized the logistics of the contest well. Notably, the solution reporting and practical exams were arranged reasonably by the Organizing Committee of the contest, creating a comfortable atmosphere for teachers to demonstrate their abilities well. To improve the quality of the contest organization, the members of the Judging Committee are members of the Provincial Professional Council, accessing the earliest innovations from the program of the Ministry of Education and Training. Therefore, accurately assessing the capacity of teachers.
For the 11th Provincial High School Teacher Competition for the 2024-2025 school year, the whole province has 238 teachers participating in the competition to present teaching methods and practices. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Danh - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, said: “The contest was organized according to plan and ensured the required purpose. The Organizing Committee prepared the conditions for the contest to take place on schedule, especially the preparation of facilities; arranging the exam schedule; and managing all activities of the contest. The Organizing Committee acknowledged and commended the sense of responsibility of the managers, teachers, staff and students of the schools where the practice exam sites were located, presenting the measures. The units supported the best conditions in terms of facilities, service spirit, and cooperative attitude of the students, helping the lessons to take place smoothly and successfully until the end of the contest. For the schools with teachers participating in the contest, the units created the best conditions for teachers to participate in the contest. Although the scale of the contest was quite large, the high sense of responsibility of the Organizing Committee and the smooth coordination of the members helped the contest to be a great success...”.
At the end of the "Excellent Teachers of Grades 1, 2, 3 and English and Informatics Teachers at Primary School" contest, 85 excellent teachers were awarded the title of "Excellent Teachers" at Primary School level, of which 5 teachers were honored with the title of Golden Chalk. The 11th Provincial High School Excellent Teachers Contest for the 2024-2025 school year had 136 excellent teachers awarded the title of "Excellent Teachers" at Provincial High School level, 4 teachers were honored with the title of Golden Chalk.
As one of the four teachers who won the Golden Chalk title, Mr. Dang Tan Dua - Geography teacher, Lap Vo II High School, emotionally said: "I personally achieved this honor thanks to the support of the Board of Directors and the help of my colleagues. The results achieved have created great motivation for me to try harder in my professional activities and strive my best. Through the contest, teachers can improve their teaching methods, learn good experiences from colleagues, and help them practice and improve their professional quality better...".
