Muong Lai farmers trained on traceability of agricultural products

From October 23 to 25, the Development Support Center for Women and Children (DWC) in collaboration with the Lao Cai Provincial Women's Union organized 6 thematic sessions on "Tracing the origin of agricultural products" in 6 villages in Muong Lai commune, attracting over 400 people to participate.

This is an activity under the Project "Improving living conditions for people in the project area through building small-scale infrastructure and developing sustainable agricultural models using community management methods" sponsored by the Solidarity International Organization (SODI) - Federal Republic of Germany.

At the meetings, experts analyzed the current status of agricultural product traceability in the locality; introduced the concept, meaning and benefits of traceability; and provided instructions on how to identify traceability stamps and codes on products, helping people choose and consume safe agricultural products.

People also discussed with experts the advantages and difficulties in developing agricultural products locally to discuss solutions and future directions.

The thematic session attracted a large number of participants.

The activities not only provide knowledge but also create a forum for people to exchange and learn experiences, contributing to forming community awareness of clean agricultural production, gradually changing production thinking, creating a foundation for building local agricultural product brands associated with sustainable consumption markets.
