Cargo output through Ha Tinh seaport reaches over 12 million tons

(Baohatinh.vn) - In the first 4 months of 2025, the volume of goods through seaports in Ha Tinh reached more than 12.18 million tons, with 1,272 ships and boats.

Currently, there are 7 ports in operation in Ha Tinh . Of which, Vung Ang - Son Duong area has 5 ports including: Vung Ang port, Vung Ang LPG port, Vung Ang I Thermal Power Plant port, Vung Ang II Thermal Power Plant port and Son Duong port. Nghi Xuan area has Xuan Hai port and Xuan Giang petroleum port.

Cargo output through Ha Tinh seaport reached nearly 12.18 million tons in the first four months of the year.

Since the beginning of the year, activities at seaports in Ha Tinh have been stable; ships and boats entering and leaving have been strictly controlled. Port operators have complied with the law on port operations.

According to information from the Ha Tinh Maritime Port Authority, in the first 4 months of 2025, the volume of goods through Ha Tinh seaport reached nearly 12.18 million tons, an increase of about 2% over the same period last year. Of which, exports reached more than 2.33 million tons, imports reached more than 6.02 million tons, and domestic goods reached 3.83 million tons.

The number of ships entering and leaving the port reached 1,272, down about 3% compared to the same period last year. The main products passing through the port are potash, coal, wood chips, ore, steel, gasoline, etc.

Recently, Terminal No. 3 of Laos - Vietnam International Port has been officially put into operation, which is a positive signal contributing to the development of seaport infrastructure, improving the capacity of transporting and unloading goods, thereby increasing the output of goods through seaports.

According to the Maritime Port Authority, the expected cargo throughput of Ha Tinh seaport area in 2025 is about 36.5 million tons. In the coming time, the unit will continue to promote administrative procedure reform, creating favorable conditions for port enterprises, ship owners, and cargo owners to operate safely and effectively.
