Landslide on National Highway 6 claims two lives.

On the afternoon of December 14th, a serious landslide occurred on National Highway 6 in Mai Chau commune, Phu Tho province, completely cutting off the road. Authorities later found the bodies of two victims buried under the debris.

Speaking to PLVN, a representative of the unit managing National Highway 6 said that at around 6:30 PM on the same day, rescue forces discovered two bodies buried under a large amount of soil and rocks that had slid onto the road.
According to initial information, the identities of the victims cannot yet be determined due to the disfigurement of their bodies. Authorities are continuing to cooperate in clarifying the situation and are implementing the necessary procedures according to regulations.

The landslide occurred that afternoon when a large amount of soil and rocks from the mountainside suddenly cascaded down onto National Highway 6, cutting off traffic through the Thung Nhuoi pass area. The scene is currently being cordoned off to facilitate rescue and recovery efforts.
