Landslides affect 14 households in Khuon Lung commune.

Due to the influence of the circulation of typhoon No. 7 from the night of September 12 to September 13, heavy rain fell over a wide area in Khuon Lung commune; the heavy rain caused landslides in many villages, resulting in damage to houses, crops, and infrastructure.

According to information from the People's Committee of Khuon Lung commune, heavy rains have affected the houses of 14 households; 1.36 hectares of rice, 0.05 hectares of corn, and 0.045 hectares of cassava were buried under mud. Regarding infrastructure, 15 meters of concrete canal and 8 meters of earthen canal were broken; the bridge at Km0+800 on the Na Chi – Quang Nguyen road suffered erosion on its approach, posing a danger to people and vehicles. The total estimated damage is approximately 600 million VND.

The People's Committee of Khuon Lung commune has directed specialized departments to review and compile statistics on the damage. Simultaneously, they have mobilized local forces and residents to assist in relocating people and property from households affected by landslides to safe areas. They are also educating residents to proactively monitor weather information and apply preventive measures to minimize damage caused by natural disasters.
