The two parties are accelerating research and development (R&D) initiatives in areas such as power, cooling, controls and high-density rack systems, to support the next generation of AI factories across Europe and globally.
This global partnership, announced at the NVIDIA GTC Paris conference, brings together two world leaders in sustainability and accelerated computing, to support the European Commission’s AI infrastructure ambitions and the “InvestAI” initiative, which plans to mobilize €200 billion in AI investments.
Drawing on their expertise in AI-ready infrastructure, sustainability, and grid coordination, Schneider Electric and NVIDIA are jointly responding to the European Commission’s “European AI Development Plan,” which aims to establish at least 13 AI factories across Europe, including up to 5 gigafactories.
“AI is a defining technology, a key factor driving global transformation,” said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. “Together with Schneider Electric, we are building AI factories, the essential infrastructure that brings AI to every company, industry, and society.”

“Together, we have achieved great success in deploying next-generation power and liquid cooling solutions specifically designed for the AI data center,” said Schneider Electric CEO Olivier Blum. “Strategic partnerships with leaders in sustainability and accelerated computing enable us to continue to accelerate our momentum, pushing the boundaries of what is possible for the AI workloads of the future.”
As part of this partnership, Schneider Electric also launched a suite of AI-ready data center solutions, including new products in the EcoStruxure™ Pod and Rack Infrastructure lines. The modular EcoStruxure Pod data center is designed with a scalable pod architecture, enabling rapid deployment of AI data centers globally.
Schneider Electric has developed a new rack system inspired by the Open Compute Project (OCP), to support the NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 platform using the NVIDIA MGX modular architecture. This is also the first time Schneider Electric has integrated into the NVIDIA HGX and MGX ecosystem.
Schneider Electric and NVIDIA have also co-developed a series of complete reference designs based on power and liquid cooling systems, with Schneider Electric as an NVIDIA-approved CDU (Cooling Distribution Unit) supplier. Many of these designs also incorporate liquid cooling solutions from Motivair, which Schneider Electric acquired in March 2025...
