Dalat University students leave a strong impression at the National Mathematical Olympiad

Dalat University students participate in the Competition

The 31st National Mathematics Olympiad for Students took place at Saigon University, attracting the participation of hundreds of students from universities, academies and high schools across the country.

This is an intellectual and prestigious playground for young talents who love mathematics, where candidates compete in two main categories: Analysis and Algebra.

In a competition that gathered many outstanding young mathematical talents from across the country, the student delegation from Dalat University made a strong impression with outstanding achievements, affirming their position in the Vietnamese Mathematics community.

With a serious and confident spirit, along with the ability to think logically and creatively, students of Dalat University conquered the competition with convincing solutions. The success of students is not only individual but also the result of collective support and effort.

To achieve these proud results, the students have undergone a review process to consolidate in-depth knowledge and practice flexible problem-solving skills under the dedicated guidance of experienced lecturers of the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Tuan Hiep - Head of Mathematics Department, Faculty of Mathematics - Informatics shared: "We always encourage students to continuously learn and explore new horizons in the field of mathematics. Today's success is the result of tireless efforts from both teachers and students of the Faculty of Mathematics - Informatics, Dalat University".

Unable to hide his joy and pride, student Le Ha Thanh Phong - who won first prize in Analysis and second prize in Algebra shared: "This is the first time I have participated in such a big competition. The preparation process was challenging, but I always received a lot of encouragement and support from teachers and friends. Today's result is a great motivation for me to continue pursuing my passion for mathematics."

Student Nguyen Truong Thien An, who won first prize in Analysis, also expressed: “The competition is not only a place to test knowledge but also helps me learn and interact with many talented friends across the country. I am very grateful to the teachers in the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology for their dedicated guidance and creating conditions for us to participate in the competition.”

The outstanding achievements at the 31st National Mathematics Olympiad for students have contributed to affirming the training quality of the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology in particular and of Dalat University in general.
