Phu Tho Province Department of Education and Training directs to strengthen school safety assurance

GD&TĐ- The Department of Education and Training of Phu Tho directed schools to simultaneously implement measures to tighten management and ensure safety for students and teachers.

On September 23, according to information from the Department of Education and Training of Phu Tho province, in the face of the increasing situation of school violence and school insecurity, causing public outrage, the Department has just issued Document No. 1253 with urgent instructions, requiring schools across the province to simultaneously deploy measures to tighten management and ensure safety for students and teachers.

Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training of Phu Tho requested schools, educational units and local authorities to coordinate to immediately implement 8 main groups of solutions, including:

Implement documents: Organize and seriously implement directive documents on school safety from the Ministry of Education and Training and the Department of Education and Training.

Strengthen propaganda, promote legal education, life skills, skills to respond to emergency situations (fire, flood) and prevent violence for students. In particular, focus on equipping students with knowledge to prevent fraud and online abuse.

Along with that, strengthen the connection between school, family and local government to manage and educate students. Develop cultural codes of conduct, coordinate with police and health to organize training sessions to prevent social evils, drugs and abuse.

Regularly check and inspect the quality of items such as classrooms, restrooms, electrical systems, and fire protection systems. Resolutely stop using degraded buildings to ensure safety.

Preventing accidents and drowning: Take preventive measures to prevent serious injuries and drowning accidents from occurring in schools.

Phu Tho Department of Education and Training requires ensuring food safety, heads of units with collective kitchens must be responsible for closely monitoring, ensuring nutrition and hygiene for meals at boarding and semi-boarding schools, absolutely not allowing food poisoning to occur.

School uniforms, wearing uniforms must be based on the consent of parents. The principal decides depending on the actual situation, climate of each region, in compliance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Building a green, clean, and beautiful school: Maintain a green campus, ensure clean toilets, and have enough water and soap for students and teachers to use.

The Department of Education and Training of Phu Tho province emphasized that heads of units and schools will be responsible to their superiors if unsafe incidents occur. At the same time, they are required to promptly report any arising situations for timely handling.
