On November 7, Mr. Nguyen Duy Tinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Mo Commune, Dak Lak (belonging to Dong Xuan District, former Phu Yen ) confirmed that many schools in the commune suffered heavy damage to property, with rocks and soil flooding into the school grounds after storm Kalmaegi (storm No. 13) made landfall.
Mr. Tinh said that the entire Phu Mo commune has 5 schools, including primary and secondary schools, which were all affected and severely flooded after storm No. 13. Among them, Phu Mo Primary School was deeply flooded and had many properties damaged.

"We are focusing on fixing and supporting schools. Regarding the Department of Education and Training giving students more time off or switching to online learning, we will meet with schools and have a timely solution," Mr. Tinh informed.
Mr. Tinh added that currently, the Provincial Military Command has increased about 30 officers and soldiers to the locality to support the recovery work. Currently, the workload is very large, the local government is mobilizing all forces to clean up from this afternoon until tomorrow, November 8.
