Exciting and vibrant art activities to celebrate National Day September 2

On the morning of September 2, at the lobby of the City Theater, the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City and the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Ho Chi Minh City jointly organized a traditional revolutionary music and dance program with the theme "Autumn and forever: Love song of the country".

Heroic revolutionary songs will resound in art programs celebrating major holidays on the occasion of National Day September 2.

At the socialized stages of Ho Chi Minh City, new plays were simultaneously performed to serve the audience with quite attractive repertoire such as: "Tra lai lia thia" (Hoang Thai Thanh Drama Stage, evenings of September 2 and 3).

This is a script based on the literary work of writer Nguyen Ngoc Tu invested by Hoang Thai Thanh stage, highly appreciated by experts in terms of art and profound humanistic content.

The play features the participation of artists: Meritorious Artist Thanh Hoi, artists Ai Nhu, Tri Quang, Kim Huyen, Thanh Long, Huynh Thien Trung...

At the Than Nien Theater (located in the Youth Cultural House): the funny comedy "Lost Bangkok" (shows 2 and 3-9); Phuong Nam Arts Theater (Gia Dinh Park): a unique Circus Art program with attractive and lively performances in the circus play "Dragon Fairy Legend" performed from the evening of September 1 to 4; The World Youth Theater performs the plays: "The Beggar's Day" (September 1), "The Ghost of a Singer" (September 3); Truong Hung Minh Arts Theater: the play "Mother of a Street Singer" (afternoon and evening shows of September 4); Ho Chi Minh City Small Stage Theater (5B Vo Van Tan, District 3): dedicates holidays to serve children with the plays: "Ve ve chanh chanh va hai buoc huong", "Dai nao long cung", "Vuong quoc nguoi uc ux" (performed from September 2 to 4).

What is interesting for the audience in Ho Chi Minh City on the occasion of welcoming the big holidays is the participation of the art troupe of the Vietnam Circus and Variety Arts College, with the first Vietnam - Laos Circus Gala program in 2023, performing 7 consecutive shows from September 1 to September 3 at Hoa Binh Theater.

The art program was invested in grandly, creating appeal to children with the participation of nearly 30 circus artists.

On the evening of September 2, at the Nguyen Hue walking street stage, the Organizing Committee of major holidays in Ho Chi Minh City organized a special art program with the theme "Vietnam - Shining Faith" performed by the Ho Chi Minh City Light Music Center.

Artist Tran Kim Hoa, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Light Music Center, said the program was invested in the form of theatrical art. Throughout the program, heroic historical pages were expressed through many songs, marking the historical moment when President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence at Ba Dinh Square.

At Ho Chi Minh City Book Street, there will be an exhibition of books published and promoted on the occasion of National Day September 2, promoting the spirit of fighting for national independence, national unification and protecting the Fatherland.

At the Ho Chi Minh City Museum and the Ho Chi Minh City History Museum, during the holidays, there will be an exhibition of works by lecturers and students of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the school's founding and special exhibitions on national pride on National Day, September 2.

In the field of cinema, 3 Vietnamese films: "Anonymous", "Zombie Ferry" and "Touch of Happiness" were simultaneously released in cinemas, attracting a large audience. Besides, there are some foreign films that also attract audiences such as: "Fallen Paradise", "The Guardians", "Good and Evil Confront 3".

There are also two movies for children: "Tiger Penguin and the Jungle Rangers 2: World War II" and "Magical Friendship".

On the evening of September 2, from 9:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m., Ho Chi Minh City will organize fireworks displays at two locations: a high-altitude location at the beginning of the Saigon River tunnel (Thu Duc City) and a low-altitude location at Dam Sen Cultural Park (District 11).

In addition, on the morning of September 2 and 3, on Nguyen Thien Thanh Street (Thu Duc City), there will be a hot air balloon performance.
