This year, most farmers in the sweetening area sowed high-yield rice varieties ST 24, ST 25, Ham Trau... in which ST rice variety brought the highest yield, about 4.5 tons/ha.

In Co Xang area, Da Bac commune, people in Minh Ha Farm area transport rice and gather it to wait for traders to buy.

Ms. Vo Thi Ha, Hamlet 6A, Da Bac Commune, excitedly said: "My family sows ST 25 seeds in the form of continuous sowing, achieving a yield of over 45 bushels/cong, sowing in low-lying areas reaches nearly 20 bushels/cong, a higher yield than last year".

This year, thanks to favorable weather, the summer-autumn crop is considered a bumper crop, especially ST24 and ST25 rice, with an average yield of 4-4.5 tons/ha.

In the rice field of Mrs. Huynh Thi Muoi, Da Bac hamlet, Da Bac commune, the harvest atmosphere is very urgent with 2 cutting machines in operation. Mrs. Muoi has 20 hectares of rice fields sown with ST variety with a yield of over 45 bushels/hectare. Traders buy rice at 7.5-8 thousand VND/kg, earning a profit of over 20 million VND.

Mrs. Huynh Thi Muoi's family took the opportunity to weigh rice to sell to traders.

The 2025 summer-autumn rice crop is entering harvest time. Farmers hope that the local agricultural sector will coordinate to support the purchase of combine harvesters, speed up the harvest progress, and create conditions for traders to purchase and transport rice promptly during favorable weather conditions like now, to avoid losses due to floods in the coming time...
