On September 18, Mr. Nguyen Ba Canh Son, CEO of electric motorbike start-up Dat Bike, said that with the capital of 22 million USD that has just been successfully raised, Dat Bike will continue to increase production capacity to meet growing demand, expand online distribution channels and retail stores nationwide, and at the same time promote R&D to develop core technology and expand the portfolio of next-generation electric motorbike products.

“With strong support from the world's leading investors, we have more motivation to accelerate, bringing green vehicles to millions of people in Vietnam and the region,” Mr. Son shared.

In parallel, Dat Bike said it will continue to upgrade its distribution system and customer service, providing a more seamless and personalized experience. The business will also strengthen its cooperation with ride-hailing platforms and financial service providers, making it easier and more convenient for users to switch to sustainable transportation across Vietnam.

The representative of the enterprise leading the Series B funding round - FCC - assessed Dat Bike as a typical Vietnamese start-up in the field of developing, manufacturing and distributing electric motorbikes, with strong growth potential in the ASEAN market.

“Thanks to the harmony in medium and long-term vision, we decided to become strategic partners in the region,” commented an FCC representative.

The two parties will work together to contribute to the building of sustainable transportation by meeting local needs, solving social problems, and leveraging the customer value, operating system and global supply chain that FCC has built in the clutch manufacturing sector.

Who invested in Dat Bike?

The funding round was co-led by FCC, a Tokyo Stock Exchange-listed company, and Rebright Partners, a fund based in Japan and Singapore, with continued participation from Jungle Ventures, one of Southeast Asia's leading venture capital funds and a long-time investor in Dat Bike.

This round of funding also welcomed new investors including Cathay Venture, a venture capital subsidiary of Cathay Financial Group, one of Taiwan's largest financial conglomerates, and AiViet Venture, an emerging investment fund focused on technology and healthcare startups, backed by industry leaders fromFPT , MoMo, Galaxy and Kyber Network.
