"Step Up - Passionate Dance": The fiery playground of Hai Phong's youth enters the final round

This playground is not only a place to honor talents but also a practical activity to welcome the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the city.

Passion Dance season 4 was launched in October 2025, attracting great attention from young people in Hai Phong city. The competition is divided into two main groups. Group A is for teenagers (from 12 - 15 years old), Group B is for young people (from 16 - 30 years old). The competition format is in groups, accepting all types of modern dance such as Hip-hop, Popping, Dance Cover... After the time to submit applications and video clips for the preliminary round, the Organizing Committee (OC) selected 12 dance groups in group A and 22 dance groups in group B with the highest total scores to participate in the final round.

The final round was a feast for the eyes and full of meaning. The dance groups not only performed skillful techniques, uniformity and top-notch creativity according to professional standards, but also brought elaborately choreographed performances imbued with the thoughts of youth. Each dance step is a story of dreams, ambitions, enthusiasm and community responsibility, affirming a generation of young people who are not only good at their profession but also rich in identity, oriented towards positive and healthy values.

At the end of the round, the jury selected the 30 best teams to continue to the final round taking place at 2:00 p.m. on November 16 (Sunday) at the Youth Cultural Palace (No. 45, Lach Tray Street, Gia Vien Ward, Hai Phong City).

Professional scoring criteria

To ensure the quality of the tournament, the Organizing Committee has required the groups to ensure that at least 70% of the group members are of the required age and pay attention to submitting music as well as using props safely and appropriately. The most special and attractive point of season 4 is the comprehensive scoring mechanism, not only based on the judges but also integrating interaction from the audience and online community.

The jury, consisting of prestigious artists, dancers and choreographers, evaluated the performances on a 100-point scale based on many strict criteria: Uniformity (20 points); Performance technique and Music synchronization (15 points/criteria); Content, creativity and difficulty of the movements.

To increase interaction and fairness, the final result for awarding the "Excellent Cup" will be the sum of scores from the rounds and online voting points. The video clips of the final round teams have been officially posted on the fanpage of Hai Phong Youth Union and Youth Cultural Palace for the audience to vote. The voting period takes place from 9:00 p.m. on November 10 to 12:00 p.m. on November 16. The conversion formula for interaction points: 01 Like/Comment equals 01 point; 01 Share equals 02 points. Each team can achieve a maximum of 6,000 points during the voting period. This mechanism will certainly create a competition not only in terms of expertise but also in terms of communication ability, attracting community support, promising that the "Final Night and Award Gala" scheduled to take place at 2:00 p.m. on November 16 will be extremely dramatic.

"Step up - Passionate dance" season 4 is not only a cultural playground but also a place to search for and nurture excellent artistic talents, contributing to the youth movement organized by the City Youth Union and Hai Phong city.

This year's prize structure includes 01 first prize, 02 second prizes, 03 third prizes, and 03 "promising prizes" for each group. In particular, there is 01 excellent prize for the whole program that will receive a Cup, certificate and a large bonus, 01 prize voted by the audience and a movement prize for good organizing units.

The Organizing Committee emphasized its commitment to a serious and healthy competition, complying with regulations on culture, costumes and copyright. The competition is a testament to the concern of Hai Phong Youth Union in creating a healthy and beneficial environment to help young people develop comprehensively.
