The truth behind the news of two baby girls abandoned on the roadside in Tien Giang

(Dan Tri) - While taking his two daughters out, Mr. T. suffered a mental illness and left his children in Ward 5, My Tho City. Afterwards, the authorities took both children to the Tien Giang Social Work Center for care.

On the afternoon of February 13, Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Tien Giang province, Ly Van Cam, officially informed about the case of two abandoned children who are being cared for by the Tien Giang Provincial Social Work Center.

According to information, at 6:00 p.m. on February 9, Tien Giang Social Work Center received two abandoned children handed over by the People's Committee of Ward 5, My Tho City.

Because the two children could not speak yet and could not be given any information, the reception minutes on February 9 of the Tien Giang Social Work Center named the two children Nguyen Ngoc Xuan Mai and Nguyen Ngoc Truc Dao.

On February 12, Ms. LTTM came to the Center and confessed that she was the biological mother of two children, Nguyen Ngoc Xuan Mai and Nguyen Ngoc Truc Dao.

According to Ms. M., the names of the two children in their birth certificates are NLNV and NNB. Both children were registered at the People's Committee of Thanh Binh Commune, Cho Gao District, Tien Giang Province.

Ms. M. stated that the reason the two children were abandoned in Ward 5 was because Mr. Nguyen Ngoc T. (Ms. M.'s husband) had symptoms of a mental illness that sometimes caused memory loss, sometimes caused forgetfulness, and that it had gotten worse recently.

On February 9, Mr. T. took the two children out to play and due to a relapse of his mental illness, he left the two children in Ward 5, My Tho City and was taken by the Ward People's Committee to the Tien Giang Social Work Center for care.

Tien Giang Social Work Center is guiding Ms. M. to carry out local confirmation procedures to receive the two children for her family to care for.

The health and mental condition of the two children are stable. The center will continue to care for the two children until the procedures are completed and they will be handed over to their families according to regulations.
