On October 24th, at the Hoan Kiem Ward Cultural, Information and Sports Center (Hang Trong Flower Garden - 42 Nha Chung Street, Hoan Kiem Ward, Hanoi), the Project Management Board of “Integrating Climate Change Resilience and Environmental Protection for the Development of Green Cities of Type II” (Department of Environment - Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ) collaborated with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists to organize the awards ceremony for the photo contest and the opening of the photo exhibition “Green Moments – Green Actions – Green Future”.
After more than two months since its launch, the competition has attracted the participation of numerous authors nationwide with 963 works, including 860 individual photos and 103 photo sets, from 192 authors from 26 provinces and cities. The organizing committee has selected 50 outstanding works for exhibition.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Do Anh Tuan, Director of the International Cooperation Department (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment), emphasized that the photo contest and exhibition "Green Moments - Green Actions - Green Future" is one of the key communication activities of the "Integrating Climate Change Resilience and Environmental Protection for the Development of Green Cities of Type II" project of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment. This photo contest is not only an artistic event, but also a journey to spread the belief and aspiration for a green lifestyle – green actions – and a green future among hundreds of people and thousands of cameras focused on nature, the environment, and life.

According to Mr. Nguyen Do Anh Tuan, each photograph tells a story, conveys a message, and represents a specific green action. Each photographer – through their lens – has become a "green storyteller," reminding us that a small action today can make a big difference tomorrow. A beautiful photograph today can inspire thousands of green actions in the future.

From a professional standpoint, photographer Vu Anh Tuan, head of the judging panel, stated that the competition received widespread participation. The submitted works all contributed to promoting positive actions and meaningful good deeds by individuals and groups in society to improve the environment, making it greener and cleaner, as well as raising awareness about the dangers of pollution affecting life and the need for effective solutions.
A prime example is the photo series "Nurturing Green Seeds - Sowing Love" by author Nguyen Van Khoi, which is demonstrated through concrete and practical actions. Through organizations, associations, and groups, they have together spread meaningful work to create a greener living environment for the future.
The photograph "Green Urban Gateway" by Pham Thi Lan Anh, with its gentle perspective through rows of trees and lush green vines covering the concrete walls of the road tunnel, creates a calming and stress-reducing feeling for vehicles entering and exiting the city center.

In particular, the photo series "Handicrafts Made from Water Hyacinth" by author Nguyen Doan Ket is quite complete, with a tight structure and a coherent progression of the production process from beginning to end. The series highlights the creativity of the people, transforming low-value plants into valuable export products – a green action that combines the circular economy by creating livelihoods for local people. This is a model of sustainable environmental protection.
The organizing committee awarded 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, and 5 consolation prizes to authors with outstanding works. The first prize went to the photo series "Handicrafts Made from Water Hyacinth" by Nguyen Doan Ket. The two second prizes were awarded to the photo series "Illuminating Green Aspirations" by Tran Minh Luong and "Circular Economy Model" by Dinh Hai Ngoc.
The exhibition runs until October 31st.
