Technical staff of Truong Sa Island Logistics-Technical Service Center have reworked the winch shaft and repaired and reinforced the winch base of fishing boat KH 97272 TS captained by a fisherman from Khanh Hoa .
A representative of the 129th Naval Squadron (based in Vung Tau City, Ba Ria-Vung Tau) said that at around 3:00 p.m. on November 27, the Truong Sa Island Logistics-Technical Service Center, 129th Naval Squadron, successfully repaired and fixed the net winch problem, assembled and tested the stability of fishing boat KH 97272 TS of Khanh Hoa province.
At 3:30 p.m. on November 27, after the Inspection Center's operations were stable, the ship continued to go out to sea to fish.
Fishing vessel KH 97272 TS, fishing with purse seine, captained by Mr. Pham Duoc (residing in Vinh Phuoc ward, Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province), with 13 fishermen on board, departed on October 1, 2023.
At 9:00 a.m. on November 26, fishing boat KH 97272 TS was fishing in the waters northeast of Truong Sa island.
During exploitation and operation, the net winch was broken, the ship contacted the Truong Sa Island Logistics-Technical Service Center to request repair support.
The Center's commander guided the fishing boat to Truong Sa Island's port to fix the problem, then sent a repair team to board the boat to check the damage.
Upon inspection, the technician discovered that the fishing boat's winch system had a broken winch roller, deformed reinforcement bars, and a warped winch shaft, so he removed it and brought it back to the workshop for repair.
Technical staff of Truong Sa Island Logistics-Technical Service Center quickly found solutions to rework the winch shaft and repair and reinforce the system's winch base.
After 2 days of active repair, the Center's technical staff successfully fixed and repaired the damage to the winch system of the fishing boat KH 97272 TS.
During the repair period, the Center's staff combined with propagating Directive 45/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister , introducing the activities of the ports and fishing villages in Truong Sa to fishermen on board; at the same time, giving national flags, life jackets, supporting 3,000 liters of fresh water and some other necessary necessities to the people./.
