World gold price

Gold price forecast
World gold prices fell as the USD index increased. Recorded at 1:45 a.m. on June 26, the US Dollar Index, which measures the greenback's fluctuations against six major currencies, was at 105.165 points (up 0.12%).
Gold prices fell as investors awaited key US inflation data due later this week that could provide clues on the Federal Reserve's interest rate stance.

Kelvin Wong, senior market analyst for Asia- Pacific at financial services firm OANDA, said the short-term technicals are not very positive for gold. After the sell-off on June 21, short-term traders took this as a signal that prices are starting to fall.
This expert said that if PCE increases, it is not good news for gold and could cause the price of this precious metal to fall below $2,300/ounce. Low interest rates reduce the opportunity cost of holding non-yielding assets such as gold.
