The Investment and Construction Development Corporation (DIC Corp - stock code: DIG) has just elected Mr. Nguyen Hung Cuong as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Cuong is the son of the late Chairman of the Board of Directors, Nguyen Thien Tuan, who passed away a few days ago at the age of 68. In addition to being elected Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Cuong also became the legal representative of DIC Corp. Mr. Nguyen Hung Cuong was born in 1982, making him 42 years old this year. Before assuming his new position, Mr. Cuong was the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of DIC Corp.

According to the 6-month management report, Mr. Cuong owns over 61.9 million DIC shares, representing 10.16%, more than the number of shares held by the late Chairman of the Board of Directors, Nguyen Thien Tuan (7.68%). Based on the current market price of DIC shares (approximately 23,700 VND/unit), Mr. Cuong's assets are equivalent to nearly 1,500 billion VND. According to DIC Corp's introduction, Mr. Cuong holds a Master's degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, with 13 years of experience in the construction economics sector. From June 2012 to December 2017, Mr. Cuong served as Deputy General Director of DIC Corp. In early 2018, he held the position of Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Permanent Deputy General Director of DIC Corp for five months. From June 2018 to the present, he has served as Vice Chairman of the company. DIC Corp is headquartered in Vung Tau City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. In the first half of this year, the group had revenue of over 1,019 billion VND and after-tax profit of nearly 4 billion VND. While revenue was 2.8 times higher than the same period last year, profit decreased by 95%.
