Strengthening fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue measures in the dry season

Authorities organize fire fighting, rescue and first aid drills in residential areas.

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee requested units and localities to promote the movement of all people participating in fire prevention and fighting, replicate the model of inter-family fire safety teams, public fire fighting points and encourage households to equip fire extinguishers; strengthen the dissemination of knowledge and skills on fire prevention and fighting, and escape through mass media and directly in residential areas and establishments to raise people's awareness and responsibility.

The Provincial People's Committee requested local authorities and functional forces to strictly control the use of fire in and near forests by people, especially slash-and-burn farming activities, and strictly handle acts that cause forest fire risks. Agencies and units must review fire safety conditions at headquarters, warehouses, factories, production and business establishments, promptly correct shortcomings, and minimize the risk of fire and explosion. At the same time, promote safe electricity use, encourage people to turn off electrical equipment when not in use, and avoid overloading.

In addition, maintain a state of readiness for fire fighting and rescue, prepare forces and means to promptly handle incidents. Units need to develop and practice fire fighting and rescue plans with the coordination of many forces to ensure effectiveness. The Provincial Police are assigned to monitor, urge, summarize the implementation results, and report to the Provincial People's Committee according to regulations. Any difficulties and problems during the implementation process must be reported to the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department - Provincial Police for consultation and proposed solutions.
