Strengthening trade union cooperation between Bac Ninh province and Zhejiang province (China)

(PLVN) - On the morning of May 26, a delegation of the General Confederation of Labor of Zhejiang Province (China) led by Mr. Hu Haibiao, Vice President of the General Confederation of Labor, visited and paid a courtesy visit to the leaders of Bac Ninh Province.

Receiving the delegation were Mr. Le Xuan Loi, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of a number of departments and branches.

Speaking at the reception, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Xuan Loi expressed his pleasure to welcome the delegation to visit and work, and briefly introduced the province's geographical location, culture, and outstanding socio-economic achievements in recent times. He affirmed that Bac Ninh has achieved many impressive results in industrial and service development, with great contributions from the Chinese business community and workers.

Currently, Bac Ninh has about 18,000 Chinese people living and working, accounting for the majority of the total 23,000 foreigners in the province. Bac Ninh always pays attention to trade union work, especially caring for the lives and protecting the legitimate rights of workers, including foreign workers.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that Bac Ninh considers China an important partner with many cultural similarities. Every year, the province organizes investment promotion conferences and sends delegations to China. In addition, Bac Ninh also makes Chinese the second foreign language in public schools and cooperates with Chinese enterprises in on-site vocational training and sending workers to China for training.

Mr. Le Xuan Loi also shared information about the merger of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang provinces in the coming time, creating conditions to expand the space for service industry development, and expressed his hope that through the visit, the Zhejiang side will have a deeper understanding of the investment environment and support policies of Vietnam and Bac Ninh province, thereby introducing more businesses to invest.

In response, Mr. Hu Haibiao thanked the leaders of Bac Ninh province for their warm welcome and gave a brief introduction to Zhejiang province - a locality with a long-standing cultural tradition, a safe living environment and the highest happiness index in China. He highly appreciated Bac Ninh's strong development potential and its friendly and supportive policies for foreigners, especially Chinese people.

Mr. Hu Haibiao affirmed that, as a representative and protector of workers' rights, the Zhejiang Provincial General Confederation of Labor wishes to strengthen cooperation, exchange information and share experiences with the Bac Ninh Provincial Trade Union, contributing to promoting the friendly and developing relationship between the two localities.

During the visit, the delegation of the General Confederation of Labor of Zhejiang Province came to learn about the activities of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks (IPs) of Bac Ninh and visited Goertek Vina Science and Technology Co., Ltd., one of the large enterprises with Chinese investment capital operating effectively in the locality.

Previously, the delegation of the General Confederation of Labor of Zhejiang Province had a meeting with the Labor Federation of Bac Ninh Province, exchanging information on the labor situation, outstanding activities of the two unions, and sharing many valuable experiences in caring for and protecting the rights of workers and building harmonious labor relations in enterprises.
