BHG - On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); on the morning of April 30, the Yen Minh District Military Command visited and presented gifts to local veterans who participated in the resistance war against the US to save the country.

The delegation visited and encouraged the brave soldier Then Chin Quang, Dau Cau village, Yen Minh town, who together with his comrades destroyed 3 tanks and 2 enemy firing points in the attack on Buon Ma Thuot in March 1975. At the same time, they visited 2 seriously wounded soldiers Lu A Doi and Nguyen Van Song, residing in group 3, Yen Minh town. At their homes, the delegation kindly visited and expressed gratitude for the great contributions of the veterans who fought bravely and devoted themselves to regaining peace and independence for the nation. Authorized by the superior leaders, the Yen Minh District Military Command presented gifts from the Ministry of National Defense , each worth 1.5 million VND, and gifts from Military Region 2, each worth 500,000 VND, to the 3 veterans.

It is known that there are 104 veterans, former youth volunteers, and militiamen who participated in the resistance war against the US living in Yen Minh district. The veterans and former youth volunteers continue to promote the revolutionary tradition, the nature of Uncle Ho's soldiers, and are exemplary pioneers in emulation movements, setting a shining example for their descendants to follow.
On the same day, the Veterans Association of Yen Minh district held a meeting to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day. Thereby, affirming the morality of “When drinking water, remember its source”, widely propagating to the younger generation about the great historical value and significance of the resistance war against the US to save the country.
