On March 29th, the Da Nang Department of Tourism launched a program to stimulate tourism and attract visitors to Da Nang in 2024 with the theme "Enjoy Danang 2024".
In the first quarter, tourism activity was positive with over 1.88 million overnight visitors, an increase of 23.4% compared to the same period in 2023. Of these, international overnight visitors were estimated at nearly 636,000, an increase of 21.6% compared to the same period in 2023; domestic overnight visitors were estimated at nearly 1.25 million, an increase of 24.3% compared to the same period in 2023.
In the first three months of 2024, the total number of flights to Da Nang City is estimated at 9,550, with approximately 1.59 million passengers, including 4,798 domestic flights and 4,752 international flights.

In the second quarter, Da Nang City is expected to open and restore five new international flight routes from Taichung, Kaohsiung, Vientiane, Manila, and Fukushima.
According to the Department of Tourism, in 2024, Da Nang City will have unique tourism products belonging to the following groups: events and festivals, culinary tourism, night tourism, wedding tourism, and MICE tourism.
To develop new tourism products and improve the quality of transportation services, the Department of Tourism signed cooperation agreements with Vietnam Railways Corporation and Sun Group to launch train tourism; and collaborated with Vietnam Airlines to promote tourism in key domestic and international markets such as Taiwan, China, South Korea, India, Thailand, Japan, Singapore, and Malaysia…
New tourism products for 2024 include water music shows, water puppetry, jet skiing, flyboarding with sound, light and fireworks effects (Danang River Show), Bach Dang pedestrian street, night services on Nguyen Van Troi Bridge and East Bank Park, the "Enjoy Da Nang Tourism by Tourist Train" program (Danang Wow Train), the Hue - Da Nang tourist train "Connecting Central Vietnam Heritage", and the Danang Food Tour.
Da Nang City is giving away 100 tickets to experience Ba Na Hills to couples who come to Da Nang City for their wedding, honeymoon, or wedding anniversary.
Notably, to stimulate tourism, the Enjoy Danang 2024 program is giving away more than 10,000 free vouchers and discount offers worth a total of 5 billion VND to tourists.
Specifically, Da Nang City is prioritizing giving away 2,000 tickets to the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival to tourists who register to purchase Da Nang tourism services/products on online platforms (Kkday, Traveloka) and on the program's website enjoydanang.vn, as well as on Da Nang tourism's social media pages.
Tourists can also participate in minigames/lucky spins at the Da Nang tourist information counter (Da Nang Airport, Tourist Support Center). International tourists are given tickets to art performances.
In particular, the first 100 couples who choose Da Nang City to hold their wedding, celebrate their wedding anniversary, or honeymoon will also receive free tickets to experience Ba Na Hills tourist area by Sun Group.
Mr. Tran Chi Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee, requested the Department of Tourism and related units to closely coordinate in controlling prices, service quality, and ensuring security and safety. At the same time, he suggested developing more attractive products to stimulate demand and enhance the experience for tourists visiting Da Nang, contributing to building the image of Da Nang as a safe, unique, and hospitable destination.
