With a comprehensive product portfolio, Vinachem has built a “fertilizer ecosystem” that effectively serves agriculture. Its widespread presence and large supply (accounting for 40% of market demand) show that the Group is truly the “midwife” of agriculture.

In the context of increasing food demand and complex climate change, diversifying and ensuring adequate fertilizer sources for crops is a key factor in helping the agricultural sector develop sustainably and ensure national food security.

Ninh Binh Nitrogenous Fertilizer Plant

Nitrogen fertilizer (Urea): factories such as Ha Bac Nitrogen and Ninh Binh Nitrogen (units of Vinachem) produce urea fertilizer - the main source of nitrogen for crops. Nitrogen fertilizer helps promote the growth of green leaves and stems, especially important for rice, corn and leafy vegetables. Vinachem's nitrogen fertilizer products have met a large part of the domestic demand for nitrogen for crops, contributing to reducing dependence on imported nitrogen fertilizer.

Phosphate fertilizer (Superphosphate, fused phosphate): Vinachem owns leading phosphate fertilizer brands such as Lam Thao Superphosphate, Van Dien fused phosphate, Long Thanh phosphate and Ninh Binh phosphate. Phosphate fertilizer provides phosphorus nutrients (P₂O₅) to help plants develop roots, stems and flower and fruit well. With the advantage of only dissolving in a weakly acidic environment secreted by plant roots, fused phosphate fertilizer is suitable for basal fertilizer, so it is not washed away and is safe for the environment. Vinachem's phosphate fertilizers are suitable for many types of soil, especially acid sulfate soil that needs to be improved, helping to increase long-term fertility of the soil.

DAP (Diammonium Phosphate) fertilizer: This is a complex fertilizer that simultaneously supplies nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) with high nutritional content (containing about 16% N and 44% P₂O₅). Vinachem has two large-scale DAP factories in Dinh Vu ( Hai Phong ) and Lao Cai, supplying the market with hundreds of thousands of tons of DAP each year. Dinh Vu DAP and Lao Cai DAP fertilizers have long been a source of high-quality fertilizer for many specialized rice, industrial crop and fruit tree growing areas, thanks to the advantage of helping plants absorb quickly, increasing fruit set rate and improving productivity. Vinachem DAP is not only consumed domestically but also exported, contributing a significant amount of foreign currency.

NPK compound fertilizer: each year, Vinachem's group of subsidiaries supplies over one million tons of various types of NPK, holding the number one market share in NPK fertilizer in Vietnam. This is a multi-nutrient product group, integrating all three main elements N - P - K along with micronutrients, mixed in appropriate proportions for each type of crop and growth stage. Vinachem owns leading NPK production enterprises in Vietnam such as Binh Dien Fertilizer, Lam Thao Superphosphate and Chemicals, Southern Fertilizer, Can Tho Fertilizer...

Thanks to that, the Group supplies the market with a wide variety of NPK types: from medium-content synthetic NPK to high-content NPK, NPK supplemented with microorganisms, NPK specialized for each crop (coffee, rubber, rice, vegetables, fruit trees, etc.). The products are not only present in all agricultural regions in the country but also exported to neighboring markets such as Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, etc.

Potassium fertilizer: In order to proactively meet the fertilizer demand for domestic agricultural production and avoid complete dependence on imported potassium fertilizer, Vinachem is urgently implementing the project of exploiting and processing potash salt in Khammouane province, Lao People's Democratic Republic. This is a key national project, of strategic significance in ensuring the security of fertilizer supply, stabilizing the market and prices. With a design capacity of hundreds of thousands of tons/year, when the project comes into operation, it is expected to contribute to proactively supplying potash fertilizer to Vietnam, reducing imports and saving foreign currency. Vinachem expects to launch the first product by mid-2027, supplying the domestic and regional markets, marking an important step forward in the process of international cooperation and sustainable development of the chemical and agricultural industries in Vietnam.

Vinachem's variety of fertilizers helps to effectively serve many types of crops in different lands and climates. For example, with rice in the Mekong Delta, farmers prefer Dau Trau fertilizer specialized for rice, helping to increase productivity and reduce pests; with long-term industrial crops on basalt soil in the Central Highlands, high-formula NPK fertilizer rich in potassium is used to help plants have resistance and high latex/fruit yield; or on acid sulfate soil in Dong Thap Muoi, Van Dien fused phosphate is used to improve pH and supplement necessary micronutrients.

With a system of 10 member units producing and trading fertilizers spread across three regions, Vinachem has a very large supply capacity. In the first 9 months of 2025 alone, the total output of all types of fertilizers that Vinachem supplied to the market continuously exceeded the set plan, growing from 12-18% compared to the same period in 2024. These figures reflect the "huge" production scale of Vinachem, and also show the very high demand for fertilizer consumption in the national agriculture.

In addition to meeting domestic demand, Vinachem is also actively promoting exports. The Group's fertilizer products are popular in many countries thanks to their stable quality and competitive prices. In the first 8 months of 2025, Vietnam exported over 1.5 million tons of various fertilizers, worth 624 million USD, an increase of 29% in volume over the same period last year. Traditional export markets have grown strongly, along with new export markets being continuously opened with many growth expectations for the future.

In particular, 2025 marks an important milestone when Vinachem officially exports fertilizer products to Cuba - a brotherly country with a special traditional friendship with Vietnam. This is not only a simple commercial activity but also demonstrates Vinachem's responsibility and affection in carrying out international duties, contributing to strengthening solidarity between the two countries.
