Training for more than 50 students at the grassroots level on crop cultivation and plant protection

(GLO)- More than 50 trainees, who are leaders and officials from 12 Crop Production and Plant Protection Stations (PPPS) in the province, attended a professional training conference organized by the Plant Production and Plant Protection Sub-Department (Department of Agriculture and Environment) on September 12, in Quy Nhon Bac ward.

At the conference, trainees were instructed on the responsibilities of the People's Committee at the commune level and specialized agencies at the commune level in the fields of cultivation and plant protection; management of agricultural materials such as plant varieties, fertilizers, pesticides; and the process of collecting, transporting and treating pesticide packaging after use.

In addition, students are also trained in planning and organizing crop production; reporting production results; converting ineffective crop structures; investigating and forecasting plant pests and providing guidance on control; synthesizing data and periodically reporting on the field of plant protection.

Notably, the content of establishing and managing growing area codes and agricultural product packaging facility codes for key local commodity crops is also being implemented in detail.

Through the training conference, trainees improved their professional capacity, actively shared experiences in pest management, plant and soil health care, and ecological environment protection. At the same time, promoted the role of propaganda, guiding farmers to apply knowledge into production practices, contributing to improving efficiency and sustainable development of the local agricultural sector...
