School health training

On November 4 and 5, Khanh Hoa Province Center for Disease Control organized a training course on school health for nearly 120 full-time medical staff at schools and regional health centers in the province.

At the training session, trainees were updated on a number of circulars and decrees of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education and Training regulating school health work at preschool, primary, secondary, high schools, multi-level general schools, universities and vocational training institutions; conditions for classrooms, desks, chairs, writing boards, lighting, and toys in schools; conditions for water supply and drainage, environmental sanitation; medical rooms, school health staff, etc.

Students are being updated on a number of circulars and decrees related to school health .

In addition, students are provided with knowledge about common diseases during the rainy season; Chikungunya, hand, foot and mouth disease, dengue fever and how to monitor and recognize them; non-communicable diseases in students; measures to prevent drowning for students and children; first aid for drowning...

Through training, school health workers are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to better care for student health, prevent diseases and handle emergency situations; thereby contributing to building a safe and healthy learning environment.
