Training on reception and restaurant skills for tourism service businesses

From September 26 to 29, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Ha Nam Tourism Association to organize a training course on reception, room service, and restaurant skills for managers and service staff in tourism service businesses in the province.

Over 50 people attended the training course taught and instructed by lecturers from the College of Tourism . With specialized knowledge and practical experience, the lecturers imparted knowledge to students in an easy-to-understand, easy-to-absorb and easy-to-practice manner, such as: Customer service organization process; requirements for personal style and dress to meet professional work; service quality management; coordination of work with relevant departments; communication with customers; handling frequently occurring situations...; Handling security situations in service, room cleaning process, skills in using tools and chemicals; service process, hygiene standards.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the province currently has 184 accommodation and tourism service establishments attracting more than 3,000 workers. With the goal of developing tourism into an important economic sector of the province, along with many policies to encourage investment and tourism development, Ha Nam focuses on training and improving the quality of human resources for tourism. This is one of the practical activities to help the team of people working in tourism and tourism service businesses have the opportunity to improve their knowledge in the field of management, operation and work professionally to meet the needs of tourists today.
