Focus on implementing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Indonesia and Singapore

On the afternoon of October 27, at the Presidential Palace, President Luong Cuong received the Ambassadors of Indonesia and Singapore who came to say goodbye on the occasion of the end of their term of office in Vietnam.

Receiving Indonesian Ambassador Denny Abdi, President Luong Cuong congratulated the Ambassador on his excellent performance in his term of office in Vietnam and his many positive contributions to promoting the development of relations between the two countries. On this occasion, the President congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment as Secretary General of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and hoped that in any position, the Ambassador would continue to promote the friendly and cooperative relations for the benefit of the people of the two countries, contributing to peace , stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

Ambassador Denny Abdi thanked the President for taking the time to meet him and said that starting his term in Vietnam in early 2021 was a very difficult time amid the Covid-19 pandemic; but it was also from those difficulties that he felt more clearly the affection and good friendship between the Vietnamese state and people.

The President said that in the coming time, the two countries need to continue to strengthen political trust, promote delegation exchanges and contacts at high and all levels; effectively implement high-level agreements; promptly build an Action Program to implement the Vietnam - Indonesia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for the 2025 - 2030 period; strive to soon complete the goal of two-way trade turnover reaching 18 billion USD before 2028...

Congratulating Singaporean Ambassador Jaya Ratnam on successfully completing his term in Vietnam , President Luong Cuong highly appreciated the Ambassador's important contributions in promoting the development of bilateral relations.

Emphasizing that Vietnam always attaches importance to strengthening relations with Singapore, a leading economic partner of Vietnam , the President suggested that the two sides continue to promote delegation exchanges and contacts at high and all levels; focus on building and implementing the Action Program to implement the Vietnam - Singapore Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for the 2025 - 2030 period.

The President hopes that, with his good feelings about the country and people of Vietnam , regardless of his position, Ambassador Jaya Ratnam will continue to promote the Vietnam - Singapore relationship in the coming time.
