Strange moves from Binz, Soobin, and Rhymastic
On October 28th, netizens were abuzz when a series of old music videos by rapper Binz, such as "They said," "Krazy," "Thôi anh không chơi đâu," and "Nguyên team đi vào hết," unexpectedly disappeared from his official YouTube channel. When searched, the original music videos were no longer displayed, while Binz's YouTube channel remained active.
These are all products that once garnered millions of views, contributing to building Binz's "bad boy" image. At the same time, the music video "Luật anh" by singer Soobin and the songs "Vẽ khói," "SS Swag," and "Chưa từng cheer ly" by rapper Rhymastic are no longer available on the official YouTube channel.
These songs had previously been criticized online for containing lyrics deemed to be suggestive of drugs, offensive, and inappropriate for Vietnamese customs and traditions.
Speaking to Thanh Nien newspaper , SS Label – the management company of Binz, Soobin, and Rhymastic – confirmed that they proactively removed some music videos by these singers. "Based on closely monitoring the new policies of cultural management agencies, we have proactively reviewed and adjusted our song catalog to ensure it aligns with the company's current direction. In the future, SS Label will continue to build and develop its own unique musical product system to spread positive messages and contribute to promoting the healthy and civilized development of Vietnamese culture," the company stated.

Previously, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee sent a document to cultural management agencies, requesting guidance and correction of music activities that showed signs of deviating from cultural norms, which received widespread public support.
According to the official document, recently many songs have been released, performed, and spread on social media using offensive and vulgar language, employing impure Vietnamese, and even turning music into a platform for venting anger, attacking, and criticizing each other, distorting aesthetic values and going against traditional customs and morals. A number of singers and rappers have been named for having songs that "deviant cultural standards."
On October 27th, the Department of Performing Arts and the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) also held a meeting to discuss plans to rectify and strictly handle the recent situation of many songs with offensive and culturally inappropriate lyrics being disseminated on social media.
Director of the Department of Performing Arts Nguyen Xuan Bac affirmed that he will resolutely require units to strictly handle activities involving music that deviates from norms, has offensive lyrics, inappropriate clothing, and does not ensure the elements of traditional customs and morals, or educational value.
Meanwhile, Le Quang Tu Do, Director of the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information, mentioned two guiding principles consistently emphasized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. These are: the need for strict rectification and restoration of order in cyberspace, preventing the spread of offensive and deviant content that negatively impacts the community, especially young people; and the need for artists and key opinion leaders (KOLs) to be aware of their role as role models. This group has a strong impact on the public, and therefore must demonstrate even greater standards in their behavior, speech, and creative work.
