SEA Games 33 today: Awaiting gold medals in sepak takraw, wushu, and shooting.

This morning (December 14th), the Vietnamese sports delegation continued to compete at the 33rd SEA Games, hoping to win gold medals in sepak takraw, shooting, and other sports.

Vietnamese Wushu conquers SEA Games 33

At 9:00 AM, the women's team sepak takraw final took place, with the Vietnamese team facing host nation Thailand. Although the host team was highly rated, the Vietnamese girls were ready for the "big battle," determined to win the first gold medal for Vietnam in sepak takraw at the 33rd SEA Games.

Also at 9 o'clock, the finals of the wushu events will take place. The Vietnamese wushu team is competing in the men's staff event (Vu Van Tuan) and the women's tai chi sword event (Nguyen Le Chi).

In the shooting competition starting at 9:30 AM, notable participants include the reigning ASIAD champion Pham Quang Huy and the current Olympic fourth-place finisher Trinh Thu Vinh. Pham Quang Huy will compete in both the individual and team events of his specialty, the 10m air pistol. Trinh Thu Vinh will compete in the 10m air pistol individual and team events. These two shooters, along with their teammates Lai Cong Minh and Nguyen Dinh Thanh (men), and Nguyen Thuy Trang and Trieu Thi Hoa Hong (women), are expected to compete for the gold medal in the competition starting at 11:45 AM.

Also today, Asian champion Nguyen Thi That will compete in the speed event, where she is the reigning SEA Games champion. That will compete starting at 3 PM, promising success for Vietnamese cycling. Karate will conclude the SEA Games 33 with two events: men's and women's team sparring, both of which offer Vietnam a strong chance of winning gold medals.

In athletics, the challenging events include the men's 20km walk and the women's 20km walk, featuring Vietnam's walking queen Nguyen Thi Thanh Phuc (at 5 PM). In swimming, swimmer Pham Thanh Bao will compete for the gold medal in the 200m breaststroke at 6 PM...
