Since the beginning of October 2025, high tides have flooded more than 2,562 hectares of fruit gardens and 252 hectares of rice fields, causing total damage of more than 40 billion VND. Localities have proactively reinforced embankments, operated irrigation works, and implemented the "4 on-site" motto to minimize damage.
To date, the province has 95/105 communes meeting NTM standards, 17 communes meeting advanced NTM standards and 1 model NTM commune. 95 new OCOP products have been recognized, bringing the total to 1,083 OCOP products.
The 1 million hectare high-quality rice project has been effectively implemented on more than 5,000 hectares. The provincial agricultural sector continues to strengthen disease prevention, ensure stable production, and adapt to climate change.
In his speech, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Chau Van Hoa requested localities to focus on responding to and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, ensuring crop schedules, stabilizing production and people's lives. At the same time, synchronously deploy solutions to reinforce embankments, operate irrigation works, and protect safe production areas during the rainy season, especially during the peak period of sowing and harvesting crops, Tet ornamental flowers, and areas that directly affect people's lives.
Departments and localities need to have plans, mobilize each group of people and put up signs warning of high risk of landslides. Speed up the completion of the dossier to recognize 5 communes that meet the NTM and advanced NTM standards, continue to improve the criteria on income, infrastructure, and environment. Review, mobilize and guide potential production facilities to participate in the OCOP program. The agricultural sector should proactively prevent diseases in livestock, black-headed coconut worms, protect stable production, and aim for sustainable agriculture and climate change adaptation.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the last two months of 2025 still face many difficulties, but with the spirit of solidarity, proactiveness and creativity, departments, branches and localities continue to strive to complete the assigned tasks well, contributing to promoting the province's agricultural growth.
