(PLVN) - On June 3, in Van Don district (Quang Ninh province) at about 5:20 p.m., the ship Tung Duong 86 was in the process of refueling (about 400 meters from Ao Tien high-class port) when an oil fire broke out in the engine room. The fire completely damaged the ship Tung Duong 86.

The Tung Duong 86 is a public passenger ship with 132 seats. At the time of the fire, there were no passengers on board, but 5 crew members. The crew members used fire extinguishers and oil tanker fire hoses to put out the fire, but the fire spread quickly and dangerously. The 5 crew members jumped into the sea and swam to a nearby oil tanker.

Authorities quickly approached to control the fire, but the large fire could not be controlled. The fire did not cause any human casualties, but the ship was completely damaged.
