Tay Giang aims to develop green tourism

With the advantages of soil conditions, cool climate, natural forest cover, traditional cultural identity values ​​preserved intact... are great advantages for developing green tourism in Tay Giang in the coming time.

To develop green tourism, Tay Giang district has proactively developed resolutions, short-term and long-term plans, scientifically planned tourist destinations in the area as well as attracted more capital from investors.

Specifically, Tay Giang district issued Resolution No. 17 of the District Party Committee, Resolution 32 of the District People's Council "Calling for investment attraction to develop tourism in Tay Giang district in the period of 2014 - 2020 and vision to 2030"; plan to develop green tourism in Tay Giang until 2025...

Mr. Briu Hung - Head of the Department of Culture - Science and Information of Tay Giang district said that recently the district has focused on completing the dossiers of relics in the area to register for protection in the period 2025 - 2029, including: A pair of Banyan trees (A Xan commune), Salt road (Lang and Tr'hy communes), Kaxăh Victory site (Dang commune), ancient inscriptions carved on rocks of AVuong river (Nal village, Lang commune).

More specifically, in 2024, Tay Giang was recognized as a Vietnamese Heritage Tree for 959 green lim trees in Lang commune and 11 banyan trees in Ga Ry commune. Along with that, traditional festivals such as the Khai Nam festival to thank the forest are held annually; the New Rice Festival of the Co Tu ethnic group in the highlands... contribute to conservation as well as exploitation, building into attractive tourism products.

Mr. Arat Blui - Vice Chairman of Tay Giang District People's Committee said that in recent times, Tay Giang has done a good job in managing and promoting the value of national cultural heritage. The district has devoted resources to restoring, preserving and promoting the value of the relic system, most of which are managed and protected in accordance with regulations.

In addition, the district successfully organized classes to teach drumming and gong playing and tan tung da da dancing at schools and communes; and classes to teach the culture of "Co Tu language and writing".

Taking advantage of Project 6, the National Target Program on socio -economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas, period 2021 - 2030, up to now, Tay Giang has collected and purchased 75 sets of traditional Co Tu musical instruments for the drum, gong, cymbal and tan tung da da dance clubs of 63 villages, 10 communes and 2 community eco-tourism villages.

At the same time, the Co Tu Traditional Village and the Ta Lang Community Cultural Tourism Village were upgraded and renovated. In addition, the district invested in 10 points to set up information technology support for digital transformation for communes; invested in completing the T'ram Victory Point project (A Xan commune)...
