Thai Hoa returns to TV series, reunites with Le Phuong

10 years after collaborating in "Silk Eyes", Thai Hoa and Le Phuong will reunite in the miniseries project "The Lower War".

The film "The War of the Lowly" directed by Mr. To and written by Team Nhi Bui - Mr. To, has just started filming in Ho Chi Minh City.

The film brings together a strong cast: Thai Hoa, Le Phuong, Trinh Thao, Ngoc Trai, Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Tran Nham, Quang Son, Nam Cha, Yen Nhi, little Tuyet Nhung...

Previously, Thai Hoa shared that he had mixed feelings when taking on the main role in this project. While reading the script, he said he was both excited and worried because he didn’t know if he could do it well.

“I was always nervous before filming, but I liked the message of the film, it matched what I thought. Seeing many acquaintances after a long time also made me excited, feeling like this would be an interesting journey,” he shared.

Paired with Thai Hoa is Le Phuong - a familiar face to the screen audience. The actress could not hide her excitement at taking on a different character from the characters she had played and joining the impressive cast.

Belonging to the psychological-family genre, The Lower Life War is set in a bustling urban setting, taking viewers into the survival battle of a family facing the risk of losing their only home. Each person, with their own trauma and hope, must find a way to survive by using all sorts of tragicomedies to keep their fragile “temporary home”.

Inspired by the message: “There are people who are born at the finish line - but there are also people who strive just to reach the starting point”, with an suggestive title, the film is expected to create curiosity, drawing the audience closer to a story full of life, told in a complete and emotional work.

The project was built and developed by director Nguyen Quang Dung and a team of screenwriters since the 2021 epidemic period, going through many edits to bring an emotional story.

For director Mr. To, this project brings him happiness and excitement. He said he kept his mind relaxed and stress-free to focus completely on the film.

The film is expected to air on the VieON platform in 2025.
