Thai Nguyen celebrates 80th anniversary of Cultural Sector's Traditional Day

On August 29, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thai Nguyen held a ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Cultural Sector's Traditional Day (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025).

Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded Certificates of Merit to 9 collectives with outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement for the period 2020 - 2025.

On August 28, 1945, immediately after the victory of the August Revolution, the Provisional Government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam decided to establish the Ministry of Information and Propaganda, marking the birth of the Culture - Information sector. After 80 years of construction and growth, along with the development of the country's cultural career, the Thai Nguyen Culture, Sports and Tourism sector has continuously grown, making important contributions to the socio -economic development of the province.

The industry has organized many large-scale cultural, sports and tourism events, creating impressions and attracting a large number of domestic and international tourists. The work of preserving, collecting artifacts and promoting the value of cultural heritage has achieved many important results; the mass sports movement continues to develop strongly.

Promoting the 80-year tradition of the Industry, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thai Nguyen has identified the key goals in the coming time as: Building a healthy cultural environment; promoting moral and lifestyle education; building cultural families and communities; improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management; developing the Industry in conjunction with the task of socio-economic development; enhancing exchanges and promoting the image of Thai Nguyen land and people.

Representatives of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented Certificates of Merit to individuals with outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement, period 2020-2025.

On this occasion, the Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded Certificates of Merit to 9 collectives and 24 individuals with outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement for the period 2020-2025.
