Meaningful Workers' Month in Hai Duong

This year's Workers' Month, Hai Duong trade unions at all levels have simultaneously implemented many practical activities to care for the spiritual and material lives of workers.

Exciting sports and cultural activities

In response to Workers' Month, the Provincial Industrial Parks Trade Union has just organized the largest-ever "Workers' Festival". From early morning, thousands of union members and workers were present at Dai An Industrial Park to follow this event.

Mr. Nguyen Van Linh from LEO Vietnam Paper Products Co., Ltd. shared: "We are very excited because this is the biggest festival of the year for workers in industrial parks. Here, everyone can participate in sports competitions such as tug of war, bag jumping, and throwing balls. The organizers also arranged many discount booths, haircuts, and free health consultations for workers."

According to Mr. Nguyen Tien Hoi, Chairman of the Provincial Industrial Zones Trade Union, since the end of March, the unit has developed a plan and instructed grassroots trade unions to organize practical activities for workers. This "Workers' Festival" is a highlight of this year's Workers' Month. This is a useful and healthy playground to help union members and workers entertain and relax after stressful working hours. Here, the unit also presented 100 gifts with a total value of 130 million VND to workers in difficult circumstances.

Union members and workers in Hai Duong industrial parks enthusiastically participate in "Workers' Festival"

This year's Workers' Month, the Thanh Ha District Labor Federation organized the "For Community Health" Cross-Country Race for the first time. The race attracted 115 union members and workers from 109 grassroots unions in the district. Athletes competed in 3 events: 1,000 m (group run), 3,000 m (for women) and 5,000 m (for men). Despite the hot weather and long distance, everyone tried their best to complete their race.

The race was organized in a systematic and professional manner, attracting many union members and workers to participate. "Thanks to the enthusiastic cheers of the audience, I felt empowered to finish first. I hope that the provincial unions will continue to pay attention to organizing many useful activities so that workers have the opportunity to exchange, meet and exercise," said union member Trinh Thi Le from Cam Che Kindergarten, Cam Viet Commune.

The difference of this year's Workers' Month is that the provincial trade unions have flexibly integrated many cultural, artistic and sports activities right into the launching ceremony. The Provincial Federation of Labor organized a men's football, women's football and volleyball tournament attracting nearly 400 workers and laborers to participate. The grassroots trade unions also implemented many practical sports activities such as badminton, table tennis, football, Ao Dai and folk games. These are all great playgrounds to help union members and workers improve their health, promote the spirit of competition in labor, production and development of units and enterprises.

Care about workers' lives

Binh Giang District Labor Federation is a typical unit that cares for the lives of workers. In response to Workers' Month, this unit organized the signing of a cooperation agreement with Gafo Nutrition Food Joint Stock Company (Hai Duong City) on the welfare program. Union members and workers in Binh Giang district will enjoy preferential policies and discounts when using products and services of this enterprise. Every year, Gafo Company will allocate 5% of sales to care for and visit union members and workers in difficult circumstances.

During the launching ceremony of Workers' Month, trade unions at all levels in the province flexibly integrated many exciting cultural, artistic and sports activities.

According to Ms. Vu Thi Hay, Chairwoman of the Binh Giang District Labor Federation, the program of signing a cooperation agreement with Gafo Company demonstrates the efforts of the trade union organization in expanding welfare channels, improving the material and spiritual life of union members and workers. During this year's Workers' Month, the unit also presented 48 gifts and 120 shopping vouchers to workers in difficult circumstances with a total value of about 50 million VND.

At the launching ceremony of Workers' Month, the Board of Directors of Sumidenso Vietnam Co., Ltd. organized a dialogue with workers to promptly answer and resolve some difficulties and problems regarding salary increase coefficient adjustment, diligence bonus, seniority bonus, construction of multi-purpose houses, etc.

At the conference, Mr. Kurihara, General Director of Sumidenso Company, affirmed that employees are a great asset of the enterprise, so understanding their thoughts and aspirations must be done regularly. With an abundant welfare fund, the company will review and study to adjust some welfare regimes to suit actual needs, ensuring all rights of employees. The company will renovate part of the MD4 garage to make a multi-purpose house for practicing sports such as table tennis, badminton and yoga. All employees will use this building in parallel with the current soccer and volleyball fields.

According to Ms. Ngo Thi Thanh Hoa, Chairwoman of the Hai Duong Provincial Federation of Labor, the highlight of this year's Workers' Month is the active and synchronous participation of enterprises and units in the province. Activities aimed at workers have clearly demonstrated the role of trade unions in representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers. In the coming time, the Provincial Federation of Labor will focus on effectively implementing the movement to compete for initiatives and creativity in production labor to affirm the pioneering role of the working class in the new period.

In Workers' Month 2025, the Provincial Labor Federation presented 200 gifts (each worth 2 million VND) to workers in difficult circumstances. The organization commended and rewarded 50 union members with outstanding achievements in labor and production; presented 3 "union warm houses" in Ninh Giang, Gia Loc districts and Hai Duong city with a total value of 150 million VND.

Grassroots trade unions at all levels presented nearly 9,000 gifts with a total value of over 1.6 billion VND. 568 enterprises with 10 or more employees held employee conferences and signed collective labor agreements...
