On October 15, Market Management Team No. 14, Thanh Hoa Province Market Management Department coordinated with the Criminal Investigation Police Team on Criminal, Economic and Drug Crimes of Tho Xuan District Police to suddenly inspect Nguyen Chi Quyen business establishment, address Xuan Thien Commune, Tho Xuan District, and discovered 520kg of dried bamboo shoots of unknown origin.

Large quantity of dried bamboo shoots of unknown origin seized

At the time of inspection, the Inspection Team discovered that Nguyen Chi Quyen business establishment was trading 520kg of dried bamboo shoots in fiber form of unknown origin.

The Captain of Market Management Team No. 14 issued a Decision to sanction administrative violations for trading in goods of unknown origin, imposing an administrative fine of 17 million VND; forcing the destruction of 520kg of dried bamboo shoots of unknown origin worth 26 million VND.

In the coming time, Market Management Team No. 14 will continue to strengthen coordination with functional forces to promptly detect and handle violations in trading counterfeit goods, smuggled goods, poor quality goods, goods of unknown origin and commercial fraud to protect consumer rights.
