(DN) - Provincial Party Secretary Vu Hong Van, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Science , Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Development (referred to as the Steering Committee) has just signed and issued Decision No. 05-QD/BCĐ dated May 22, 2025 on the establishment of the Steering Committee Advisory Council (referred to as the Advisory Council).

Accordingly, the Advisory Council of the Steering Committee on science, technology development, innovation and digital transformation of the province is chaired by Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc, Permanent Deputy Head of the Steering Committee.
Director of the Department of Science and Technology Ta Quang Truong, Standing Member of the Steering Committee, as Vice Chairman of the Advisory Council.
Members of the Advisory Council include: experts who are prestigious scientists in the fields of natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, engineering, technology, medicine, and interdisciplinary; information technology, biology, materials, automation and robotics, energy, environment, aviation and space, medicine and pharmaceuticals, transportation, manufacturing and production.
The experts are prestigious scientists in the fields of innovation and digital transformation in technology, Government and public administration, economics and business, education, health and healthcare, finance and banking, industry and manufacturing, transport and traffic, agriculture, environment and sustainable development, culture and arts.
Experts are prestigious leaders and managers in the development and implementation of legal documents, mechanisms and policies on science, technology, innovation and digital transformation.
The experts are prestigious leaders and senior managers at training and research institutions, companies and corporations operating in or related to science, technology, innovation and digital transformation in Vietnam.
The Advisory Council has the function of advising and proposing to the Steering Committee on policies, orientations, mechanisms, policies and breakthrough solutions for the development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation in Dong Nai.
The Decision also clearly states 8 tasks and powers of the Advisory Council. In particular, the Advisory Council will study theoretical basis and experience at home and abroad; evaluate domestic practices on science, technology, innovation and digital transformation development in Dong Nai province according to the requirements of the Steering Committee. At the same time, report to the Steering Committee and the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee on trends in science, technology, innovation and digital transformation development in the world and in Vietnam and propose solutions for Dong Nai province.
The Advisory Council will research and advise on outstanding mechanisms and breakthrough policies to develop science, technology, innovation and digital transformation in Dong Nai province. In addition, the Advisory Council will provide independent opinions on draft documents, resolutions, programs, plans, projects, etc. on the development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation in Dong Nai province as assigned by the Steering Committee, the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee, etc.
The budget for the operation of the Advisory Council is arranged in the annual budget estimate of the Provincial Party Committee Office according to regulations. The Advisory Council is entitled to mobilize legal resources to perform assigned tasks.
