Rewarding typical young people who follow Uncle Ho's teachings

As one of the typical progressive youth studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in the period of 2023 - 2025, Secretary of the An Phu Town Youth Union (An Phu District) Nguyen Trung Nghia has many projects and tasks serving the community. Specifically, in the period from 2023 to present, Mr. Nguyen Trung Nghia has proactively proposed volunteer activities suitable to the requirements and tasks of the unit and met the thoughts and aspirations of the youth, so he has been supported by the District Youth Union, union members and youth (YVTN) of the town.

Since then, the activities of An Phu Town Youth Union have attracted over 2,551 Youth Union members to participate. Through mobilized resources, An Phu Town Youth Union has coordinated and supported 1,582 gifts for policy families, poor and near-poor students and those in difficult circumstances, with a total value of nearly 256 million VND. The Town Youth Union has also carried out 10 projects and tasks, including: Building 3 new Charity houses, 2 waiting houses for students, 1 ceremony yard, concrete school gate; repairing and repainting 1 entertainment area and installing 1 propaganda billboard on drowning prevention, with a total value of 225 million VND. Mr. Nghia himself also advised on the implementation of the youth project of the town's football field, with a total cost of over 30 million VND.

On holidays or anniversaries, Mr. Nghia and An Phu Town Youth Union coordinate to visit, give gifts, examine and treat families with policies; organize free haircuts, contact during exam season... with a total cost of over 66 million VND. During the summer, An Phu Town Youth Union opens swimming classes, sports , talent clubs... attracting over 4,520 students and children to participate.

Mr. Nghia said that as Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of An Phu town, he tries to do a good job of advising the Party Committee, the higher-level Youth Union and the Executive Committee of the Town Youth Union in implementing the work of the Youth Union - Association - Team and the youth and children's movement in the locality. In addition, he regularly improves his knowledge, studies measures to gather young people, as well as creates internal solidarity, promotes the strength of the collective to successfully complete assigned tasks. From there, the Youth Union, the Vietnam Youth Union of An Phu town, and the An Phu Town Pioneer Council were assessed by An Phu District Youth Union as units that excellently completed their tasks (leading units) in 2023 and 2024.

In Cho Moi district, with many effective and creative ways, Ms. Nguyen Hai Yen, a specialist of Cho Moi District Youth Union, was honored to be recognized as "Advanced Youth studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" in An Giang province in 2025. Ms. Yen said that implementing the Youth Union's work program and youth and children's movement in 2024 with the theme "Year of Youth Volunteers", she and her unit made efforts to take care of many youth and children, focusing on those in difficult circumstances. Notably, the "Hanging Uniform" model was implemented in My Luong town. On that basis, Ms. Yen mobilized benefactors to donate new uniforms to schools to support disadvantaged students. As a result, at the beginning of the 2024 - 2025 school year, 25 uniforms were donated to Primary School "A" in My Luong town and Primary School "B" in My Luong town.

For particularly difficult cases, the model "Foster Children of the Union" has been strongly promoted and effectively supported the children in life, with a sponsorship amount of 300,000 VND/month and support throughout the school year. In addition, textbooks, notebooks and health insurance are also supported so that the children can continue to go to school. At the same time, the program "Spring of Love", "Bag of Love Rice" was effectively organized, launching "Month of Action for Children, Summer Activities and Summer Volunteer Campaign 2024"... On the occasion of the programs, gifts were given to students in the locality and neighboring communes... Along with that, many community activities were highly appreciated by local authorities, people and the superior union...

Mr. Nguyen Trung Nghia and Ms. Nguyen Hai Yen are 2 of the total 50 outstanding young people following Uncle Ho's teachings in 2025, honored by the Provincial Youth Union. These are typical young people who strive to overcome difficulties, devote themselves to the Youth Union movement and the common tasks of agencies, units and communities. Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Youth Union Phan Duy Bang emphasized that the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union appreciates the contributions of exemplary individuals. At the same time, he believes that, from the achievements gained, the Youth Union cadres will continue to strongly promote the pioneering spirit, creativity, and aspiration for dedication; constantly innovate, master knowledge and technology.
