Strengthening cooperation between Ca Mau and Koh Kong

Ca Mau Newspaper On the morning of April 26, on the occasion of attending the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day in Ca Mau , Mr. Thong Na Rong, Chairman of the Koh Kong Provincial Council (Cambodia), and the working delegation paid a courtesy visit to the leaders of Ca Mau province.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duc Hien and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Luan warmly welcomed the delegation.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duc Hien introduced the sacred cape of Ca Mau.

At the meeting, leaders of the two provinces informed each other about the outstanding achievements in socio -economic development of each locality, and affirmed the close and strong relationship over the past time.

In the joyful atmosphere of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, the two provinces of Ca Mau and Koh Kong exchanged best wishes and meaningful gifts.

The two sides reviewed the historical milestone of 58 years ago, June 24, 1967, when Vietnam and Cambodia officially established diplomatic relations, opening a new and meaningful chapter in the history of the two countries. Despite many changes, the diplomatic relationship between Vietnam and Cambodia has been constantly strengthened and developed.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duc Hien affirmed that Ca Mau and Koh Kong will continue to accompany, cooperate and support each other.

In particular, on April 21, 2009, Ca Mau and Koh Kong provinces signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in many fields. Over the years, the two provinces have maintained regular visits and friendly exchanges between delegations of leaders on holidays and Tet. Ca Mau has actively supported Koh Kong in important socio-economic fields such as the construction and repair of the Radio Station headquarters, the Provincial Military Agency, the Volunteer Soldier Memorial, the martyrs' cemetery and many other projects.

Expressing his joy at the achievements that Ca Mau has made, Mr. Thong Na Rong hoped that the cooperation between the two localities will continue to develop more effectively in many fields.

Over the years, Ca Mau and Koh Kong have regularly maintained visits and friendly exchanges between delegations of leaders on holidays and Tet.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duc Hien affirmed that Ca Mau always values ​​and has special affection for Koh Kong province, and pledged to continue to accompany, cooperate and support each other for mutual development, especially in potential areas such as high-tech agriculture, forest resource management and development, tourism... The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized that Ca Mau will continue to support Koh Kong in infrastructure development, contributing to the socio-economic development of the neighboring province.
