The Cong Viettel increased its strength with new recruits: Paulo Tadeu Viana Martins, Damian Vu Thanh An, Kyle Colonna and Duong Thanh Tung.

Viettel Sports has strengthened its squad in preparation for the 2025-2026 V-League season, aiming for the top spot.

Paulo Tadeu Viana Martins, also known as Paulinho Curuá, is a 1.87m tall defensive midfielder with a powerful playing style. Coach Velizar Popov expressed satisfaction with the new signing, Paulinho, who can play in multiple positions.

He stated: "Paulinho is an important piece of the puzzle for the team. He has the ability to adapt quickly and fits the playing philosophy of The Cong Viettel."

Damian Vu Thanh An is a Vietnamese-Polish player, with a Vietnamese father and a Polish mother. Born in 2003, he plays as a midfielder with an attacking style. Damian began his professional career in Poland at the age of 16.

The 1.83m tall newcomer affirmed: “I have always wanted to play in Vietnam, and from the first day I arrived at the headquarters of The Cong Viettel, I wanted to stay with the club. I am very grateful to the club for giving me this opportunity.”

Kyle Colonna, a 1.88m tall player of Vietnamese, American, and Italian descent, is expected to be a quality addition alongside Bui Tien Dung.

"I have high hopes for Kyle, especially given what he showed during the pre-season. I hope Kyle, along with Bui Tien Dung, will create a solid defensive wall in front of the goal," said head coach Velizar Popov.

Duong Thanh Tung, born in 1999, lives in the Czech Republic and has Vietnamese parents. The 1.85m tall player is a product of the Banik Most youth academy and previously played in the V-League last season. This season, Duong Thanh Tung is registered as a domestic player. With his preferred positions as an attacking midfielder and forward, Duong Thanh Tung is expected to strengthen the attacking power of the military team.
