- Husband's body found after 5 days missing at sea in Vung Ang
To assist in the search for the crew of the Cong Thanh 07 ship, the Vietnam Maritime Administration in coordination with the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center, the Maritime Port Authority and the Border Guard of Ha Tinh and Quang Binh provinces have established a search and rescue command post at the Quang Binh Maritime Port Authority in Quang Dong commune, Quang Trach district.
EC-155-B1 aircraft with registration number VN-8624 of the Northern Helicopter Company, Army Corps 18/Ministry of National Defense, was also mobilized to support the search for the crew of Cong Thanh 07. From the flow calculation, the search was expanded from the location of the sunken ship to the entire Quang Binh sea area.

At around 5:45 a.m. on May 26, a fishing boat found a crew member of the Cong Thanh 07 drifting at sea and helped bring him ashore. At 11:45 a.m. on May 26, information from the search units at sea sent to the command post said that 9 more crew members of the Cong Thanh 07 had been found.
At the time of jumping off the Cong Thanh 07 ship, all crew members were wearing life jackets, so they were all lucky to survive after many hours of struggling with unfavorable weather conditions in the Vung Ang sea area. Currently, the rescue forces are still actively searching for the remaining crew members.
Previously, as reported by CAND Online , at 8:40 p.m. on May 25, the Ha Tinh Maritime Port Authority received a distress call from the Cong Thanh 07 ship about the ship's engine failure, tilting, and water pouring in. At the time of the accident, the ship was in Ha Tinh waters, about 9 nautical miles from Vung Ang port.

Upon receiving the information, Ha Tinh Maritime Port Authority coordinated with the Border Guard Command of Vung Ang - Son Duong Port (Ha Tinh Border Guard) and related units to deploy many means to organize rescue.
However, due to the bad weather in Ha Tinh in recent days, although the rescue team has deployed plans, it is very difficult to approach. At about 9:30 p.m. on May 25, the Cong Thanh 07 ship sank, and the crew jumped off the ship. The location of the sunken ship was determined to be 18°06′53 North latitude, 106°30′30 East longitude.
Cong Thanh 07 ship has a capacity of nearly 5,200 tons, carrying 4,900 tons of coal from Quang Ninh to Quang Binh, with 11 crew members on board.
