(Dan Tri) - Candidates participating in the national excellent student exam for the 2024-2025 school year are required to write an essay on the topic "Listening to the silence".

This morning's national excellent student exam in literature consists of two parts: social argumentation and literary argumentation.

The social essay question, worth 8/20 points, quotes a discourse about the earth by British scientist James Lovelock and asks candidates to "write an essay on the topic: Listening to the silence".

In the literary essay question, which accounts for 12/20 points, candidates are tasked with using their own literary experiences to discuss the views of the famous French writer and philosopher A. Camus: "The artist trains himself in a constant relationship with others, on the path between the beauty that cannot be ignored and the community that cannot be separated."

On the morning of December 25, more than 6,000 candidates nationwide entered the national high school exam for the 2024-2025 school year.

Today, candidates will take written tests in math, physics, chemistry, biology, literature, history, geography, English, Russian, French, Chinese, Japanese and computer programming for information technology.

Tomorrow, December 26, is the written exam schedule for math, physics, chemistry, biology; speaking exam for foreign languages ​​and computer programming exam for IT.

This year’s national high school exam is about 2 weeks earlier than usual. The Ministry of Education and Training is expected to announce the results by the end of January 2025.
