Weather on May 15: Thunderstorms cover the whole country

(PLVN) - According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, today, May 15, thunderstorms will continue in the North, Central Highlands and South.

The Hydrometeorological Agency forecasts that on the day and night of May 15, in the Northwest and Viet Bac regions, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall from 20-40mm, in some places over 70mm (thunderstorms concentrated in the morning and night).

In the afternoon and evening of May 15, the Central Highlands and the South will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places experiencing heavy rain with rainfall ranging from 10-30mm, and some places over 50mm.

Thunderstorms may produce tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rains may cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes and flooding in low-lying areas.
