Weather April 28: Impact of cold air, thunderstorms in many places

The Hydrometeorological Agency said that early this morning (April 28), cold air has approached our country's border.

It is forecasted that on the morning of April 28, this cold air mass will affect the Northeast region, then affect the North Central region, and some places in the Northwest region. Inland, the wind will change to Northeast level 2-3, coastal areas level 3.

On April 28, the weather in the Northeast will turn cool, and some mountainous areas in the North will be cold. The lowest temperature during this cold spell in the North will be from 20-23 degrees Celsius, and in some mountainous areas below 18 degrees Celsius; the North Central region will be from 22-25 degrees Celsius.

Hanoi area, April 28, the weather turned cool. The lowest temperature in this cold air mass is commonly 21-23 degrees Celsius.

Due to the influence of cold air compressing the low pressure trough, on April 28, the Northeast region will have rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain, the Northwest and North Central regions will have showers and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy rain. The rain will gradually decrease at night. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

At sea, on April 28, in the Gulf of Tonkin, the wind changed direction to Northeast, strong level 4-5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7. Rough sea; waves 1.5-2.5m high.
